Cayman Hedge Funds Care 



Ogier was a founding member of Hedge Funds Care Cayman, the local chapter of the parent organisation that was established in 1998 in New York with a sole mission of raising funds from hedge fund related professions to sponsor projects that treat and eradicate child abuse and neglect.

Since the Cayman chapter opened in 2005, over $950,000 has been raised, funding not-for-profit agencies on the island that share HFC’s mission. Agencies funded over the years include: The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre and their community support programmes, including training over 600 people in the “Darkness to Light” programme - 7 Steps to Protecting Children, Department of Children and Family Services’ Young Parenting Programme, Ministry of Education’s “Brighter Futures campaign, The Nadine Andreas Foster Home, Children and Youth Services (CAYS) residential homes with several programmes -  most recently a reunification programme designed to prepare children and their families for living together again.

In addition to the corporate donations made to the charity, partner Peter Cockhill is a global board member and chairs both the Cayman fundraising “Committee of Hearts” and the Grant-Making Committee; and Denise Gower (senior manger BD&M) is a director on and secretary to the Cayman board.
