Assistant Administrator - Jersey & Guernsey
This post requires no direct experience and is often described as entry level. However, it is also a great starting point for those who already have some office experience perhaps in other areas and wish to transfer into a fiduciary environment. Working with a more experienced member of staff this post would assist in the administration of a varied range of trusts, companies and other entities. An average day might include drafting letters and records of meetings known as ‘minutes’, maintaining records, making payments and liaising with professional intermediaries such as banks. As knowledge and experience is gained, responsibilities become broader and more challenging. The commencement of a relevant professional qualification is actively encouraged and supported at this level. Relevant qualifications include ICSA and Step, and those completing these courses are provided with both financial assistance and a generous study leave entitlement.
Assistant Administrator - Jersey, Guernsey & London
Administrators - Jersey & Guernsey
Attainable either by promotion or commencing with a few years of experience, an Administrator would be responsible for handling a small number or ‘portfolio’ of trusts and / or companies. Key duties would include liaison with clients and professional intermediaries, the preparation of documents, fee notes and other correspondence, file reviews, attendance at client meetings and ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies. An administrator would help to train new assistants and would receive training and development from more experienced members of the team. At this level it is expected that you would continue to study towards a relevant professional qualification, supported by Ogier's generous study assistance package.
Administrators - Jersey & Guernsey
Senior Administrators - Jersey
Once again attainable by promotion or by experience, the level of Senior Administrator would also be responsible for a portfolio but it would be larger and more complex. The administration tasks will be very similar but for more complicated matters with additional responsibilities such as new client take-on procedures and documentation, adherence to company policy and procedure, collecting fees due to the firm from clients and preparing various reports. At this level knowledge of current affairs and their possible impact on the fiduciary business is expected. A senior administrator also has supervisory responsibilities for less experienced staff and would assist in their training and development. At this level it is expected that you will hold or be continuing study towards the completion of a relevant qualification.

Senior/Accounting Services Officer - Jersey & Guernsey
As a Senior/Accounting Services Officer you will be responsible for providing assistance in relation to the accounting services required by OFS clients, including book keeping, accounts preparation and reporting.
These positions ideally require a professional accounting qualification.
Assistant Manager - Jersey
Promotion or recruitment into the management team requires the individual to have significant experience in fiduciary matters. An Assistant Manager works closely with the Manager, becoming involved in preparing budgets, client reviews, new business take-on, drafting company policies & procedures, billing and the co-ordination of account preparation for clients with the accounting services team. In addition to thorough technical knowledge, strong management skills are required in order to deal with resourcing, training and development, mentoring, counselling of staff. A relevant professional qualification is required at this level.
