Advising the Royal Bank of Scotland

Ogier has represented The Royal Bank of Scotland plc ("RBS") on its £1bn disposal of 47 Marriott branded hotels in the UK to an Israeli consortium led by Delek Real Estate.

This deal follows on from the £951.4m acquisition in April 2006 by RBS of Condor Overseas Holdings Limited, a joint venture between Whitbread Group plc and Marriott International which owned 46 of these Marriott branded hotels. 

Ogier acted alongside CMS Cameron McKenna LLP in advising RBS on the deal. Ogier partner Simon Schilder lead for the firm, with associate Rachael Johnson assisting.
