Ogier Jersey has advised Arawak Energy Limited on its continuation from Anguilla, British West Indies to Jersey, and to the company’s subsequent listing of its common shares on the Official List of the London Stock Exchange. Ogier also advised the company in connection with the implementation of its employee share plans.

The Arawak group, headed by Arawak Energy Limited, is a multi-asset oil and gas production, development and exploration group, which has been active in the former Soviet Union countries (FSU) since 1998 and has its current operations in Kazakhstan, Russia and Azerbaijan. Arawak Energy Limited’s common shares are also listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The transaction involved close co-operation between Ogier Jersey and leading law firms in London and also in Canada.
