Jersey and Guernsey as jurisdictions continue to experience signifi cant growth in their fund industries.The market for investment funds globally is increasingly specialised and competitive and both jurisdictions have accordingly continued to drive forward reforms in their regulatory regimes and legislation in order to develop as leading centres for administration, as preferred fund domiciles and as centres for fund managers.
In the light of the rapidly evolving environment as a result of the changes, both internal and external to the Islands, these conferences will assess, from the view of advisers, the Regulator and industry agencies, the competitive position of the Channel Islands at the end of 2007 with regard to developments in legal and regulatory process as well as the practical applications of these and related developments in structuring of funds.
