Ogier Tokyo Celebrates 1st Anniversary

Article Date - 16/12/2009

On December 2nd, Ogier's Tokyo Office celebrated its first year anniversary by hosting a cocktail party at the glitzy venue "Cite de Temps" located on the roof of Swatch Group Japan's headquarters in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo.

Ogier was represented by Duncan Smith, Tim Bridges, Takesh Nakayama, Simon Davies, Skip Hashimoto, and Miwako Tokuda.

With beautiful 360 degree views of downtown Tokyo (and at one point, a bit of Mt. Fuji) - guests were entertained throughout the evening by live jazz, gourmet catering, a top notch wine tasting and a number of displays provided by our sponsors.

Attended by over 125 guests primarily from Japan, there were also a number of those who visited from Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Jersey, London, Dubai and the United States. Guests were able to sit back and relax with a glass of hot mulled wine on the large outdoor patios, or network inside with a variety of professionals representing practically all of the top international and local law firms and financial institutions as well as a number of hedge funds, private equity funds, accounting firms and even the media.

Towards the end of the evening, guests were given the opportunity to win a number of raffle prizes which were provided by our sponsors and it ranged from a magnum of champagne or designer cufflinks, with the grand prize being a two-night stay in a private villa at an award-winning resort in Bali, Indonesia.

The evening was a great success and amply demonstrated the dramatic increase in the Firm's profile in Japan since the Ogier Tokyo office was established 12 months ago.
