Ogier, one of the leading providers of offshore legal and fiduciary services, was ranked Band 1 Fund Management Offshore Law Firm in Hong Kong in the Chambers Asia 2008, a guide that lists the top lawyers in the region, reaffirming the firm’s strength and influence in the investment funds arena in the city.
In addition, Duncan Smith, Managing Partner Ogier Hong Kong, was named “market leader” by Who’s Who Legal, a reference source on the foremost legal practitioners in 29 areas of business law.
According to the Chambers and Partner Website, which publishes The Chamber Guides, its Chambers Asia 2008 researches have carried out thousands of interview with lawyers and clients, covering the entire Asian continent and over 20 areas of law. The qualities on which rankings are based include legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness, diligence, and commitment to the client. Inclusion in the guide is based solely on the research and no one can 'buy their way in'.
