Ogier Cayman announced today that Peter Cockhill has been named managing partner. Additionally, Angus Davison and Andrew Morehouse have been promoted to group partners in anticipation of continued growth at the firm.
Cockhill has been with Ogier Cayman for over twelve years and is a long-standing member of the Ogier Group Management Board and co-head of Ogier’s global investment funds team. He has been acting managing Partner since June 2010 and assumes the role on a permanent basis from James Bergstrom, who will be moving to Ogier’s Hong Kong office as managing partner to assist with the firm’s strategic expansion of its Asia practice.

Davison joined Ogier in 2005 and specialises in capital market transactions, joint venture arrangements and providing corporate advice to listed entities and investment funds. Prior to Ogier, Angus practiced at Minter Ellison (2004 to 2005) and PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal, Sydney (2000 to 2004).
Morehouse joined Ogier’s Cayman office in 2006 and specialises in the investment funds and corporate and commercial practices. Prior to this, Andrew practiced at Martin Currie Investment Management Limited in Edinburgh (2002 to 2006), Ogier’s Jersey office (2001 to 2002), The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (1999-2001) and Maclay Murray & Spens (1995-1999).
