Ogier to showcase offshore expertise to Asian businesses at prestigious London event

The Boao Forum for Asia International Capital Conference will be hosted for the first time outside of Asia at Central Hall Westminster in London on 3 – 5 June 2008.

Ogier is delighted to be supporting the conference as the only offshore legal and administration services sponsor. Ogier has seen considerable growth in its Asian business serving the needs of its clients in the Chinese markets and Asian business community from Hong Kong and other Ogier offices.

The Conference will provide opportunities for Chinese senior executives to take advantage of investment and financing options in Europe and will cover prominent issues of capital raising strategies and overseas mergers and acquisitions and also topics such as wealth management and wealth protection, private equity, IPOs and mergers & acquisitions.

Steve Meiklejohn, head of Ogier’s Global Private Client & Trusts Practice Group, will be speaking at the Private Wealth Summit about wealth management in the context of the use of offshore trusts, how to protect the family trust, trustees liability and wealth transfer. In addition, Marc Yates, head of Ogier’s Global Corporate & Commercial Practice Group, will be speaking alongside Jack Clipsham, corporate finance partner and head of the China Practice at BDO Stoy Hayward, on Life as a Listed Company.
