OGIER has been named “Offshore Law Firm of the Year 2007” in the inaugural Citywealth Magic Circle awards.
The winners were chosen by Citywealth editor Karen Jones, after taking soundings from leading wealth management industry individuals.
Citywealth is a specialist wealth management publishing house that features global accountants, lawyers, trustees and private bankers who serve the super rich.
Ms Jones said: “The winners have been chosen above all others as performing their work and client care above and beyond the call of duty throughout 2006 and beyond.”
Ogier partner
Steve Meiklejohn, who collected the award at a dinner in London, said: “I am delighted for my team that we continue to be recognised by industry peers for excelling in the private client area, demonstrating that we still thrive on providing a quality service to each of our clients while at the same time expanding the firm globally.”
Citywealth's Editor, Karen Jones said of Ogier's win. "They've been innovative and joined up in their expansion plans and have shown a good mix of business acumen backed by first class legal, trust and fund expertise. It is rare to find an organisation held in such high esteem."
This award comes on the back of four other industry awards earned by Ogier in 2006, namely “Offshore Firm of the Year” at the Chambers Global Awards, “Offshore Legal Team of the Year” at the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Awards, the Alpha Award for “Top Offshore Law Firm” and Legal Week “Niche Firm of Year”.
