The Guernsey International Legal Association is hosting an event on Monday, 14 June 2010 which will look at Financial Law Reform for Cross-Border Securities Transactions. The event, sponsored by Ogier, is designed to increase Guernsey's business and legal communities' acumen on contemporary issues and law reform initiatives on cross-border securities transactions at the forefront of the EC and to bring it home to Guernsey in a forum focused on whether the island (i) should or should not follow these legal initiatives; and (ii) should lead or follow other offshore jurisdictions in these areas.
The event will comprise two parts: presentations by renowned industry specialists on global financial law reform, followed by a panel discussion led by Guernsey industry leaders on the potential impact of such reforms on Guernsey.
