Ogier has agreed to be the principal sponsor at the forthcoming Private Equity Forum in London which is being organised by Legal Week on 13th April 2011.
Now in its fifth year this forum will bring together senior in-house and private practice lawyers in the European private equity market.
As part of the sponsorship package Ogier will host a panel session entitled “Regulator Aims and political pressures”. Clive Chaplin will chair this session for Ogier and will be joined by panel members David Barnes (partner of Deloitte UK), Mark Geday (funds partner, Herbert Smith) and Ian Johnson (tax partner of Ashurst).
Jane Pearce is running a break out session entitled “Director duties, conflicts of interest and corporate governance” with David Smith, MD and co-head of investment at Capital Dynamics.
In addition to this Frances Watson has been invited by Guernsey Finance to represent them on their sponsored session entitled “AIFM “Beyond Theory” - a look at the practical implications of the directive.” This will be presented in conjunction with Stephen Robinson, partner of Macfarlanes.
The keynote speaker of the day will be Jon Moulton, MD of Better Capital.
The event will take place over one day and will be held at the Chancery Court Hotel, London WC1 on Wednesday 13th April 2011.
