Ogier to host Offshore Litigation Seminar

Ogier is hosting its second annual Offshore Litigation Seminar in London on 21st May 2009. As the only offshore law firm with a significant presence in the key jurisdictions of BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey we are uniquely placed to report on the lastest litigation trends from these offshore financial centres.
Topics will include:

Jersey - Developments in the ability of foreign applicants to seek assistance from the Jersey Court; approach of the Jersey Court to foreign revenue authorities interest in Jersey assets/applications

Guernsey - Intervention from foreign revenue authorities; demand for information and the G20 White list

BVI - Hedge fund litigation and the latest on Madoff claw-back claims

Cayman - Cayman Islands Legal System: Reception of English Common Law; new insolvency regime; developments in the enforcement of foreign judgements and the G20 Grey list

Presentations will be given by Ogier's senior litigation lawyers;
