Ogier act for £200m stake in Milton Park, Oxfordshire

Ogier recently acted for Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) in relation to the acquisition of a 50% stake in Hermes Investment Management's Milton Park business park in Oxford (the Acquisition).

Milton Park is home to over 250 organisations and employs over 9,000 people.  Spread over 250 acres, Milton Park comprises the leading global science and technology companies as well as emerging businesses, including a number of spin-off organisations from the University of Oxford.

Structurally, Milton Park is directly owned by an English Limited Partnership via two English companies, which in turn is owned by, amongst other entities, a Jersey property unit structure of which 50% of the units are owned by CPPIB.

As a result of the Acquisition, CPPIB now owns 50% of Milton Park.

The Ogier legal team was headed up partner Katrina Edge, and included senior associate Chula O'Donoghue.
