Chambers and Partners Global directory has recognised 11 of Ogier's Cayman team as notable practitioners and praised the team for its "insightful and accurate" advice and "excellent work".

There was individual recognition for partners James Bergstrom, Giorgio Subiotto, Rachael Reynolds, Angus Davison, Bradley Kruger and James Heinicke, as well as managing associates Joanne Huckle, William Jones and Mark Santangeli, and consultant James Bagnall.

Client feedback focused on the Cayman funds practice as "very responsive, highly knowledgeable, client-friendly, easy to work with and commercial", while another client who deals with the dispute resolution team found that "their thought process and communication was top-notch" and the Corporate/Finance team was noted for being "fantastic at providing speedy opinions".

The nine-partner Cayman office is recognised in the Chambers guide for its significant market share in fund finance and downstream private equity transactions, strong track record in trust disputes and particularly established reputation for managing cross-border hedge fund mandates relating to the US jurisdiction.

Practice partner James Bergstrom – who was noted for his "outstanding reputation" – said that the independent guide reflected on several years of growth in the firm's Cayman practice.

He said: "This recognition for our key lawyers in corporate, banking, dispute resolution and investment funds underlines not just their market-leading reputations but also the strength and reputation of the whole Cayman team and the hard work that they put in.

“We're delighted with the feedback for the individuals recognised by Chambers Global, which is also a credit to the work of our strong team of associates."

Chambers Global undertakes thorough research and analysis of local law firms and seeks extensive client and industry feedback to determine their results.
