High praise for Ogier team in new HNW guide

Ogier’s David Cooney has been described as “probably the best trust lawyer of his generation in the Cayman Islands” in the first edition of the new Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide.

The guide has given a high rating to the firm’s Cayman team, noting that they “take a very commercial view of things, they’re always looking for a practical solution”.

Ogier advises on a range of trust and estate matters.

It has been a strong year for Ogier’s Cayman and BVI teams – in January the firm was named Caribbean Law Firm of the Year by Citywealth, to go along with the Best Offshore Law Firm award in the Hedgeweek Awards in February and the Offshore Law Firm of the Year award from Chambers Europe in April.

The firm was also named International Legal Team of the Year at the STEP Private Client Awards.

The new Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide is aimed at the international private wealth market, for use by family offices and professional advisers.
