Recognition for Ogier at IFLR Europe Awards completes international hat-trick

A deal on which Ogier advised was named High Yield Deal of the Year at the IFLR Europe Awards at the Savoy Hotel in London last week, capping off a hat-trick for the firm of award-winning deals at the IFLR Asian Awards in March and the IFLR Middle East Awards in October.

The AnaCap Financial Europe deal – on which partner Christopher Jones advised – won the award for High Yield Deal of the Year.

That award follows the Restructuring Deal of the Year at the IFLR Asian Awards for the successful restructuring of Mongolian Mining Corporation (on which partners Oliver Payne and Anthony Oakes advised), and the Adeem restructuring (on which partner Bruce MacNeil advised) which won the Restructuring Deal of the Year at IFLR's Middle East Award.

Christopher led a team including managing associate Paul Chanter on the deal, working alongside lead counsel Latham & Watkins. The bond issue completed in July 2017 and raised euro 325 million through an issue of senior secured floating rate notes due for repayment in 2024.
