Top rankings across the board for Guernsey law firm's banking and corporate teams

Ogier's banking and corporate teams now have top tier rankings across the Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR legal directories.

The Guernsey Banking and Finance and Corporate and Commercial teams are ranked in the top tier across the three major legal directories to come out this year.

Guernsey practice partner, Advocate Marcus Leese, said that the independent rankings from Chambers (published this month), IFLR (published in October) and Legal 500 (published in September) demonstrated the strength, depth and expertise of the firm's Guernsey team.

He said: "Independent, external validation for the quality of our work is always very welcome, but we're particularly pleased to see the consistency demonstrated by the top tier rankings across what are the three leading legal directories."

The directories are another independent endorsement of the quality of Ogier's advice across service lines and jurisdictions – in 2016 alone, the firm has been named the Offshore Law Firm of the Year by Chambers Europe, Hedgeweek Global Awards and the Alpha Awards, following up on similar awards from The Lawyer and STEP the previous year.

The firm has also won awards for Best Rebranding Campaign, High Yield Deal of the Year and Caribbean Law Firm of the Year during the last 12 months.
