Nick graduated from Downing College, Cambridge in 1996 and completed his training with Clifford Chance in London and New York. Upon qualifying as an English solicitor, Nick joined the corporate finance department of Clifford Chance.

Nick joined Ogier in the Cayman Islands in 2001, before relocating to Hong Kong in 2003 with another Cayman Islands firm, where he became a partner in 2005. He returned to the Cayman Islands in 2006 and joined Ogier as a partner in 2010. Nick became Managing Partner in 2011.
