Background:

Gareth is currently the Managing Director of Ogier’s BVI office as well as having global responsibility for the Registered Office/Registered Agent (RORA) service line. 

Gareth started his career in London with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their corporate secretarial department and later he joined Schroders plc as Manager in their Investment Trusts department. Gareth then moved from the UK to pursue a career offshore, starting in Bermuda before making the British Virgin Islands his permanent home in 2002.  Before moving to Ogier BVI, Gareth was the General Manager of Codan Trust Company (B.V.I.) Ltd.

Gareth obtained an LLB Law Degree (Hons) from Liverpool JM University in 1995 and is a Fellow of the British Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators ("ICSA"). Gareth is also a fully qualified Trust & Estate Practitioner ("TEP").

Gareth sits on the BVI Company Law Review Advisory Committee, and is also a member of "Team BVI", a government body selected to assist the marketing of BVI financial services. Gareth is the Founding Chairman of the ICSA branch in the BVI and is a committee member of the BVI Financial Services Institute Advisory Council dedicated to providing professional education in the BVI.
