Nadia joined Ogier in 2006 and is a Senior Associate of Ogier's corporate and investment funds practice group in the British Virgin Islands. Nadia also played a role in the development of the firm’s Latin American practice.
Nadia has significant experience advising upon both the formation and regulation of hedge funds, real estate funds and private equity funds, and the provision of ongoing advice to such funds including restructuring solutions and distressed fund / liquidation processes. Nadia has a broad range of experience in corporate, commercial and securities offering transactions for both private and publicly quoted companies including advising on a range of matters such as property financing, cross-border corporate merger and acquisitions, restructuring, formation and ongoing issues in relation to limited partnerships, securities offerings and listings (e.g. AIM, CISX), minority interests and various other BVI corporate law issues. In addition to her mainstream corporate and funds experience, Nadia has substantial experience in advising companies active in the telecommunications sector including advising on BVI regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Ogier, Nadia worked for Mayer Brown LLP from September 2001 until January 2006 in their London and Brussels offices. Nadia also spent time on secondment at the head office of Reuters in London and provided commercially oriented solutions within the Reuters in-house legal team. Nadia’s working languages are English and French, but she also reads and understands Portuguese and Spanish.
