Besides being one of the most famous cities in the world, London is also arguably the world's financial capital, with numerous global firms head-quartered here. With over 9 million inhabitants (and counting) it is comfortably the biggest city in the UK and the most culturally diverse.
London has excellent public transport, so you're unlikely to need a car. The underground train network (the 'Tube') connects a huge area, with buses and over-land trains also providing quick, accessible solutions. Accommodation options can move quickly, so it's good to dedicate some time to searching for your perfect property if you do decide to relocate. Most people live outside of central London – both for cost and calm – so it's important to get to know your east from west, north from south to find a borough that suits you and your lifestyle.
London offers a diverse range of attractions – from museums to art galleries (many of which are free to enter), parks to zoos, markets to shopping, restaurants to wine bars – the list goes on! Whatever you want to do, you should be able to find it in London. There is a wide range of education options, with more and more families choosing to remain in the capital.
