  • __RequestVerification_Token is an anti-forgery token (prevent CSRF attack). It guarantees that the poster is the one who gets the form.
  • JSESSIONID is a cookie generated by Servlet containers like Tomcat or Jetty and used for session management in J2EE web application for HTTP protocol. Since HTTP is a stateless protocol there is no way for Web Server to relate two separate requests coming from the same client and Session management is the process to track user session using different session management techniques like Cookies and URL Rewriting.

  • Advertising - Those cookies are used by Google for advertising: IDE, id. Those cookies are set up by DoubleClick uses cookies to improve advertising.   • Google Universal Analytics - Cookie name(s): _ga, _gid, _gat_ga cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the sites analytics reports. By default it is set to expire after 2 years, although this is customisable by website owners. _gid appears to store and update a unique value for each page visited. _gat - it is used to throttle the request rate - limiting the collection of data on high traffic sites. It expires after 10 minutes. Main purpose of Google Universal Analytics cookie is performance.
