Ogier advises on drilling group reorganisation

Deal

20 December 2018

Cayman Islands

ON THIS PAGE

Ogier in the Cayman Islands has advised on the reorganisation of an oil and gas drilling group by way of a judicial reorganisation under Brazilian Federal Law.

The group includes a Cayman subsidiary which also entered into a plan support agreement with existing lenders in respect of the group's debt. Ogier advised on all Cayman aspects of the reorganisation and the judicial reorganisation process for the subsidiary.

This was a major cross-border reorganisation involving five jurisdictions and, as a result, Ogier continues to act for the group on further restructuring matters.

The team was led by partner James Heinicke with assistance from senior associate Tommy Tuohy.
