Ogier will be hosting their first in person Ogier Employment seminar since 2019 on Thursday 22 September at The Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey.

This will be the first of two sessions discussing the requirements and obligations set out in the new Prevention of Discrimination (Guernsey) Ordinance, 2022 coming into force in October 2023, depending on States approval.

In this seminar Rachel DeSanges and Fay Warrilow will discuss:

  • Changes to the existing anti-discrimination regime
  • New protected grounds being introduced (phase 1) – disability, carer status, race, sex orientation and religious belief
  • The relevant legal tests
  • Remedies / case law

Will Austin-Vautier and Helen Ruelle will discuss relevant Jersey parallels and case law that has arisen out of the Discrimination (Jersey) Law, 2013.

A light lunch will be served before the seminar which is also a great opportunity to speak with the team and network with your peers.

If you would like to attend the seminar, please email Holly Gwyn-Griffiths.
