Ogier advises GAMA Investimentos on establishment of Bridgewater access vehicle for Brazilian investors

Ogier acted as Cayman Islands legal counsel for GAMA Investimentos on the establishment of GAMA BW Global Diversified SPC, an open-ended investment fund established as a segregated portfolio company in the Cayman Islands. 

In connection with the launch arrangements, Ogier also advised on the establishment of various additional segregated portfolios in quick succession, each with bespoke terms, share class structures, fee arrangements and investor terms negotiated.

The structure was designed to enable Brazilian based investors to access various US investment entities managed by Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund manager. Ogier advised on all Cayman elements of the establishment and launch of the fund, in particular the use of the SPC structure which was uniquely suited to the proposed investment strategy.
