That's the view of clients whose endorsement of the firm's Cayman Islands team has increased the number of legal specialists recognised as leaders in their field to 13 in the newly released Chambers Global 2020.

With partner Justin Savage newly ranked by the market commentator as "responsive, thoughtful, knowledgeable and proactive", an investment fund client confirms: "They are perfectly updated on local and international laws and regulations, and they have a very proactive approach when looking for answers and solutions for the client."

Ogier's Corporate and Finance team, led by the twice-ranked Angus Davison, are noted for their work for Transocean on the Cayman aspects of its USD2.7 billion acquisition of Ocean Rig. Chambers reports the team is "great to work with; they were timely, thorough and fantastic on the substantive issues throughout our transaction".

The "very responsive" James Heinicke and "cool under fire" Mark Santangeli are among those promoted up the ranks by Chambers Global this year.

Meanwhile the firm's "strong, responsive and approachable" Dispute Resolution team, led in Cayman by "calm, approachable, knowledgeable and responsive" Marc Kish and globally by Rachael Reynolds (who was recently named 'litigator of the year' at the Citywealth IFC awards), are highly regarded, responsive and approachable, says the guide which, annually, undertakes thorough research and analysis of local law firms and seeks extensive client and industry feedback to determine their results.
