BVI litigator Grant Carroll joins Ogier's Dispute Resolution team

Experienced BVI litigator Grant Carroll has joined Ogier's Dispute Resolution team as a managing associate.

Grant – who specialises in shareholder disputes, contentious insolvency matters and commercial litigation – joins the team led by partner Brian Lacy.

He previously worked in the jurisdiction for another offshore law firm, having practised as a commercial barrister in England for six years.

Grant is recommended in leading directories for BVI litigation and Chambers & Partners Global describes him as "a terrific addition to any legal team" with a "wealth of experience".

Brian said: "We are delighted to welcome Grant to the team as another senior litigator and advocate on the ground in BVI. He brings significant experience of a wide range of BVI disputes and contentious insolvency matters to strengthen our growing team."

Grant joins the team of Brian, partner Nicholas Burkill, senior associate Nicholas Brookes and associates Alexander Muksinov and Ewelina Clyde-Smith – they are supported by BVI-qualified partners Ray Ng and Oliver Payne as well as associate Edwin Gomez from the firm's Hong Kong office, partner Ulrich Payne in the Cayman office, and counsel Nicola Roberts in the firm's Jersey office.

Grant has almost five years' experience living in the BVI as a BVI-qualified litigator, working particularly with Russian, CIS and Asian clients, and is recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal.
