Employee benefits and pensions specialist to speak on Jersey's new International Savings Plans

Employee benefits and pensions specialist at Ogier, Katherine Neal, will tell an audience of HR and Finance professionals in Dubai about the advantages of Jersey's new International Savings Plan in retirement planning later this month.

Jersey ISPs enable employers to create savings plans for employees and can provide benefits before the age of 50 with payments in, for example the case of redundancy, ill-health or divorce.

ISPs are of particular interest to multi-national companies, most obviously those with a Middle Eastern presence which have a legal obligation to provide 'end of service benefits' to employees. The Dubai Workers Incentives & End of Service Benefits Conference 2019 aims to help employers understand how to improve and reshape these End of Service employee benefits.

Katherine said: "I'm delighted to be speaking at this conference hosted by the Dubai hosted by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources. The event will consider the challenges of retirement planning, sustainability and adequacy as well as focus on potential solutions provided by the financial services industry - of which Jersey's new International Savings Plan is one."

The event, which is also hosted by Mondial Financial Services, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai on 26 February.
