Ogier is delighted to have sponsored a goat as part of the Guernsey Goat Trail 2021, a community project organised Autism Guernsey and the Guernsey Adult Literacy Project.

Families are being encouraged to get a trail map, or download the app, and go in search of the 52 life-size Guernsey Goat sculptures which are on display in prominent locations around the island. Each goat has been painted by local artists, clubs and community groups, schools, charities and day centres and they will be auctioned off in September to raise funds for Autism Guernsey and the Guernsey Adult Literacy Project (GALP).

The goat sponsored by Ogier, which is on display in Saumarez Park, has been painted by artist Beckie Bailey, whose design was inspired by local Guernsey wildlife.

"This is a fantastic initiative that brings together the whole community and we are delighted to be involved. Beckie has done a fantastic job in creating an eye-catching and memorable goat for Ogier with a design that celebrates the variety of local wildlife we're lucky to have on our shores," said partner Christopher Jones.

"Autism Guernsey and GALP have done an incredible job putting this event together and I know islanders will have fun using the app, following the trail, and discovering these wonderful sculptures along the way."

The route map showing the locations of the goats is available from the Bus Terminus shop, the Autism Guernsey offices and it is also available to download online. An app is also available for both iOS and Android devices and there is an accompanying quiz with the option to enter a prize draw.
