Brian Lacy, Nicholas Burkill and Grant Carroll from Ogier's BVI dispute resolution team have been ranked in the latest Chambers Global directory - the highest number of ranked BVI dispute resolution lawyers of any offshore firm.

Ogier's BVI dispute resolution team's overall expertise has also been recognised by the directory, with the team's promotion to a higher band.

Practice Partner Ray Wearmouth, who has retained his top tier corporate and finance rating, is described as "a very strong practitioner" and his work as a regular adviser to the BVI government is highlighted. Partner Michael Killourhy who leads the office's corporate law offering, is described as "very knowledgeable on corporate law and governance, with a practical way of dealing with complex issues."

The directory described Ogier's dispute resolution team as "an experienced bench of disputes lawyers noted for its particular expertise in insolvency matters". Partner Brian Lacy, who heads the team, is described as a "highly regarded figure" who has "hugely impressed" clients, while Partner Nicholas Burkill is described as "very capable" and praised for "working very well on a difficult case".

Managing Associate Grant Carroll, who joined Ogier last year, has been named in the associates to watch category and is described by peers as someone who has "done a good job of building his reputation."

Ray Wearmouth said: "We're extremely pleased to see the band promotion of our BVI dispute resolution team which is a reflection of the calibre of both the talent we have here at Ogier and the instructions the team works on. Achieving the highest number of ranked BVI dispute resolution lawyers from managing associate to partner level further demonstrates the quality of the team across all levels."
