Ogier group partner Craig Cordle has been named as one of the world's top 30 private equity lawyers under the age of 40.
Craig (35) is the only offshore lawyer to be named in the prestigious list, which includes partners from New York practices, Magic Circle City firms, in-house counsel and lawyers based across Asia.
He has been named in Private Fund Management's Top 30 under 40 amongst the most high-profile private equity lawyers from around the world.
Craig is focused on growing Ogier's Guernsey investment funds and asset management practice, from the firm's offices on the island and from the firm's London office.
Craig said: "To be named in this kind of company is obviously very pleasing personally, but moreover it clearly reflects Ogier's growing market share in the offshore private funds space.
"Our investment funds practice, both private and listed, is a key growth area for us – and an accolade like this means that we must be doing something right.
"The use of Guernsey structures for this kind of activity is growing all the time, particularly with the development of the new manager-led product and private investment fund regimes.
"Equally, while listed funds can sometimes be tricky to get away, they remain high on the agenda for managers wanting to create permanent capital vehicles and investors who like the liquidity which may be achieved through a listed structure."
