As part of Ogier's commitment to supporting education across all its local communities, Ogier in Cayman is sponsoring the Cayman Arts Festival's (CAF) afterschool programme to provide free musical instrument lessons to 150 children across the Islands' public schools.

Alongside regular lessons, the programme provides instruments, special workshops and masterclasses with visiting musicians to students who typically would not have access to these opportunities. The programme also opens up opportunities for gifted students to attend the prestigious Luzerne Music Center in New York.

In addition, the firm is headline sponsor of the CAF's concert this Saturday, where leading Romanian pianist Matei Varga will play a programme including pieces by Lipatti, Liszt and Mozart.

Ogier volunteers will be giving their time to volunteer at the afterschool programme and the masterclass event that Matei will lead, and they will also be on-hand to help out at the concert this Saturday.

Partner Rachael Reynolds said:

"I'm delighted that Ogier is sponsoring this excellent initiative. There are so many benefits to learning a musical instrument, and we want as many young people as possible to experience them. Our commitment as a business to supporting education projects stems from our belief that children from all backgrounds should have the opportunity to thrive.

"We're excited that young people will have access to some valuable opportunities through the scheme, and it's certainly not just a case of writing a cheque for us – members of our team will be volunteering at the workshops and assisting at Matei Varga's concert, which we're looking forward to."

Marius Gaina, Executive Director of Cayman Arts Festival said:

"We are so pleased that Ogier believes in Cayman Arts Festival and has included it as part of its community agenda.

"Their support will have a double impact, firstly in providing entertainment to the local community, and giving them the opportunity to listen to an outstanding pianist, and secondly, it will also serve an educational purpose as we will be able to hold a workshop that will be hosted by Matei Varga with students from the local public and private schools.

"We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Ogier for their invaluable support in bringing this event to the Cayman Islands".
