Rachael Reynolds named Leading Individual (Advisor) at the Wealthbriefing European Awards 2020

Rachael Reynolds, Ogier Partner and Global Head of Dispute Resolution and Trust Disputes, has been named ‘Leading Individual (Advisor)’ at the 8th Annual WealthBriefing European Awards, the second major industry award Rachael has taken home this year after being named Litigator of the Year at the Citywealth IFC Awards.

Showcasing leading providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities, the Wealthbriefing awards were designed to recognise companies, teams and individuals which the prestigious panel of judges deemed to have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2019’.     

Feedback from the judges included: “The sheer volume of the impressive casework conducted by Rachael, coupled with the range of her expertise, were regarded as big pluses. As head of her firm’s global disputes resolution team and having been the first female partner in its Cayman office, she is a standout lawyer in her field.”

Rachael advises on all aspects of contentious trust and estate matters. She has led on some of the largest and most high-profile trust, insolvency and restructuring cases in the Cayman Islands, including acting for the trustee in a reformation application concerning a multi-billion trust structure, advising investors in the Abraaj Group collapse, one of the largest private equity structures in the Middle East, and leading the Cayman legal team for the Joint Provisional Liquidators in one of the world's highest value contested schemes of arrangement. Rachael also regularly acts as expert on Cayman Islands law in trust and investment disputes in foreign court and international arbitration proceedings and her work was highlighted with the continued top-tier ranking for Ogier's Cayman Trusts Advisory Group in the latest Legal 500 guide.
