Background and experience
Katie specialises in non-contentious trust and fiduciary law and assists a wide range of professional trustees, family offices and private clients on all issues concerning trusts and foundations, including establishing, re-structuring and drafting trusts and foundations and other ancillary documents, as well as advising on structures including employee reward schemes and pensions. Katie's experience also includes the dissolution, reinstatement and migration of Jersey private companies.
Prior to joining Ogier in 2016, Katie spent over four years practising trust law as a solicitor at another local law firm.
Katie received a BA Honors degree from Nottingham Trent University in History and studied at BPP London to obtain her Graduate Diploma in Law and at the College of Law London for her Legal Practice Course qualification.
Katie was named on the top 35 under 35 Private Client Practitioners list in 2020 (for both UK and Channel Islands) and in 2021 was named as a Rising Star in The Euromoney Awards. Katie also won fCityWealth IFC Lawyer of the Year.
Katie is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
