Kelsey is an associate in Ogier's Cayman Islands Dispute Resolution team, where she specialises in contentious trusts, insolvency, debt recovery, fraud and director/shareholder disputes, breach of contract and negligence

Background and experience

Kelsey was admitted to practise law in both New Zealand and Australia in 2017 after graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Science, majoring in pharmacology.

Upon graduating, Kelsey joined a leading international law firm in Melbourne, Australia where she completed her graduate training in commercial litigation and intellectual property.

Kelsey then joined another leading law firm in Auckland New Zealand, where she built on her experience in civil and commercial litigation and gained advocacy experience with claims in the Auckland High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.  

Kelsey has acted for and advised global banks, finance companies, creditors, debtors, company directors and shareholders, trustees and beneficiaries, high net worth individuals and international charities and sporting organisations.

Kelsey has broad legal knowledge to identify and advise clients on legal claims, the court process and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
