Sally advises a wide range of professional trustees, settlors and beneficiaries on all issues concerning trusts, with particular emphasis on drafting trust deeds, advising on and drafting the documentation to restructure trusts, advising on high net worth complex structures and rectifying and mitigating breaches of trust. She is also a leading expert on the Jersey foundation having been a member of the working party to introduce the legislation and involved in the drafting of numerous structures.
The leading directories recognise Sally’s expertise, and clients have described her as “the Jersey trust guru when it gets tricky” and “an outstanding talent in her field”. She is a regular speaker at conferences on various aspects of trust and foundation law.
Sally joined Ogier in 2003 having previously worked at Eversheds in their London and Birmingham offices, working on a variety of commercial issues, including competition law. She received her LLB Honours from Bristol University and later achieved her LLM with Distinction from Leicester University in European Union Law.
Sally is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is a member of both the trusts working party and the foundations working party in Jersey.
Sally has been recognised as an expert in the Citywealth Leaders List as well as the Citywealth IFC Power Women Top 200 list for 2018.
