Virginie joined Ogier in Luxembourg at the inception of the office in 2012.
Virginie is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. She advises on structuring advice and fund formation and on ongoing fund operation, including regulatory compliance. Her achievements include working on the setup and listing of newly issued shares of a Luxembourg private equity closed-ended reserved alternative investment fund for a major European Bank and on the establishment of a Luxembourg private equity/venture capital alternative investment fund for one of the world's largest independent investment management firms.
Prior to joining Ogier, Virginie worked for five years in another well-known Luxembourg corporate law firm focusing on alternative investment funds and related corporate law aspects. Over this time, Virginie has gained a broad experience assisting institutional clients, top tier private equity houses, investment funds, small and medium-size companies and high net worth individuals.
Virginie graduated from the University of Nancy, France, in 2005 with a Master in Business Law (maîtrise de droit des affaires) and she achieved in 2006 her Postgraduate diploma in International Business Law (master de droit du commerce international).
She was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2007 and gained her qualification as "Avocat à la Cour" in 2009. Virginie is also a member of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI).
Virginie is fluent in French and English.
