Ogier's global Restructuring and Insolvency team routinely acts on cross-border liquidations, receiverships and restructurings involving overseas insolvency practitioners and clients with a variety of offshore financial interests.

Our teams in BVI, Cayman, Guernsey, Jersey, Hong Kong, Ireland and Luxembourg advise insolvency professionals, fund managers, administrators, auditors, banks, financial intermediaries, corporate investors and trustees in respect of claims, duties and practical solutions. We have extensive experience of advising on alternatives to traditional bankruptcy and restructuring methods for clients who insist on efficient service and higher returns.

We regularly advise in conjunction with onshore counsel and are able to provide round-the-clock advice across our network of offices in the Asian, Caribbean and European timezones.

Our Banking and Finance and Corporate teams act on major non-contentious restructurings, working with our Dispute Resolution teams on contentious matters.

Ogier's insolvency specialists include members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Experts (ARIES), INSOL International, the Recovery and Insolvency Specialists Association of the Cayman Islands (RISA), the Insolvency Lawyers’ Association, and the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).

Our teams are made up of finance, corporate and disputes specialists, advising companies, lenders and creditors.
