Investment funds partner Nick Rogers will be attending the CoinAlts Fund Symposium on the investment, legal and operation issues for cryptocurrencies in San Francisco this week.
Nick – who is attending the event with associate Cory Macculloch from the Cayman investment funds team - will be on hand to speak with delegates about cryptocurrencies from an offshore perspective.
Their attendance comes as Ogier grows its digital, blockchain and fintech offering as a dedicated area within its corporate and commercial service line, led by a global group of partners including Bradley Kruger, Piers Dryden, Kate Hodson, Sara Johns and Nick Rogers.
Nick said: "I'm looking forward to attending CoinAlts Fund Symposium and discussing with delegates the offshore position on cryptocurrencies and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs).
"Cryptocurrencies are a fascinating area, not only because of the rapid technological developments but also from a legal and regulatory perspective.
"We are seeing huge interest in the cryptocurrency space and look forward to discussing key developments with industry thought leaders."
