Cross-serviceline Ogier team advises on the establishment of multiple private funds

Ogier's cross-service line capabilities are showcased in the case of our long-standing client, a family office based in Switzerland, the UK and Jersey (estimated wealth approximately $30 billion). 

Our Investment Funds team advised in respect of a number of investment-related matters, including the establishment of a Jersey Private Fund to invest in UK commercial real estate, the establishment of a Jersey Expert Fund to invest in a portfolio of hedge funds, the restructuring of a series of 'friends and family' private equity funds and the establishment of a Jersey Private Fund to invest in insurance-linked securities. 

Ogier's non-contentious regulatory team advised in relation to the applicability of Jersey's economic substance rules to the family holding structures, fund management entities and co-investment arrangements as well as in relation to the application of the anti-money laundering framework. 

Our Private Wealth team led in respect of the establishment and operation of employee incentive and carried interest arrangements.

Ogier's Banking and Finance team acted for a number of the client's fund structures, as borrowers, advising as to fund finance matters, including security arrangements.
