Our track record
Ogier is the first and longest-standing established international offshore firm in Luxembourg, where the team acts for leading investment fund managers, banks, corporate and institutional clients based primarily in London, Continental Europe, East Asia and North America.
We have a particular specialism in advising alternative investment funds. As the first offshore firm to recognise the importance of Luxembourg as an international investment domicile, we recognised that our global network of offices put us in a unique position to apply an international perspective to the complex needs of our clients. This was true 10 years ago and, as we've continued to expand our footprint – most recently with our expansion into Ireland and Dubai – it proves to be even more true today.
Working with lawyers in our offices in BVI, Cayman, Dubai, Guernsey, Jersey, Hong Kong, Ireland and London, we provide fully integrated advice on both Luxembourg and offshore laws and structures. Our team of internationally experienced partners and senior lawyers provide specialised legal advice (including on a multi-jurisdictional basis) through the full life-cycle of our clients’ structures.
Established in 2012, we have more than a decade's experience in Luxembourg. In those years our team has grown in breadth and depth and now features a great range of diverse talents and experiences. Each of our Luxembourg teams is committed to continuing to develop and inspire our people, to grow further, and to empower our clients.
We continue to expand our team and recruit new talent. Our team enjoys working with some of the leading global institutional clients, on a range of interesting maters across the table from other market leading firms in Luxembourg. We pride ourselves on working collaboratively and there are international travel and international secondment opportunities within our international business.
All of our people benefit from the best technology, the flexibility to suit their needs and an open culture, where everyone has a voice.

Why Luxembourg?
Leading global financial centre
Luxembourg is one of the largest global financial centres, benefiting from flexible and attractive legal, regulatory and tax regimes and a significant concentration of professional service providers to the financial services industry.
Luxembourg's investment funds industry ranks as the largest EU fund domicile jurisdiction and the second largest fund domicile jurisdiction globally.
The jurisdiction's sophisticated financial services infrastructure, global brand recognition, full EU single market access and extensive double tax treaty network has also led to its development as a core domicile for non-fund investment structures. This has resulted in the domiciling of several tens of thousands of investment holding companies, many of which form part of globally recognised corporate groups or hold the portfolio investments of leading international investment funds.
Luxembourg's securitisation vehicle forms a third principal pillar of its financial services sector.
Reputation for stability
As a leading global jurisdiction for the establishment of investment vehicles, Luxembourg has demonstrated one of the most solid track records of stability, with a AAA credit rating, low levels of sovereign debt and one of the highest per capita GDPs globally. This economic and political stability, allied to the legal, regulatory and fiscal attributes of its financial services industry, has resulted in Luxembourg's position as a premier-ranking global fund domicile.
Global regulatory change is giving increasing prominence to the use of complementary structures tailored to the needs of particular clients and particular target investor groups. Luxembourg has a strong track record of successfully adapting to regulatory change to the benefit of clients and investors.
