Ogier in Hong Kong advises on two SPAC IPOs on New York Stock Exchange

Ogier's Corporate team in Hong Kong has acted as Cayman counsel on the initial public offerings of two special purpose acquisition companies on the New York Stock Exchange.

The team advised GalaxyEdge Acquisition Corporation on its listing and initial public offering (IPO) on 3 March 2026 under the ticker symbol GLEDU, followed by a full exercise of the over-allotment option by the underwriters for an aggregate of US$115 million. 

Also assisted by Ogier, QuasarEdge Acquisition Corporation (under ticker symbol QRED) closed on 16 April 2026 with an IPO of US$100 million.

Both special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) are currently listed on New York Stock Exchange.

Partner Florence Chan led the team on both occasions as the SPAC's Cayman counsel, with support from Ogier's global head of Corporate Nathan Powell and legal manager Anna Cheung.
