Private jet sale/purchase and Airbus registrations showcase Ogier's aviation team

Ogier recently advised a private owner on the back-to-back sale and purchase of a Cessna luxury private jet, including tax advice in respect of the transfer taking place in Guernsey.

Delivery and closing took place in Guernsey on the same day, before the German-registered aircraft carried on to Switzerland to be re-registered with the Swiss Civil Aviation Authority.

At the same time, the same Ogier team advised a commercial aircraft-leasing company in a separate matter regarding the urgent registration of two Airbus A320 180-seater jetliners with 2-REG in Guernsey.

The team worked alongside Guernsey's Civil Aviation Authority to ensure that the registration process was completed as efficiently as possible within the required timeframe.

The Ogier team was led by partner Christopher Jones, with assistance from senior associate Henry Simpson and trainee solicitor Eptissam Fakhreddine.
