Innovative green loan advised by Ogier wins ALB Finance Deal of the Year 2024

The financing of Kingston Green Logistics, a transaction advised by Ogier, A&O Shearman and Mayer Brown, has been named Finance Deal of the Year 2024 by Asian Legal Business.

This innovative US$1.13 billion green loan supporting the major development of a cold storage and logistics facility was one of only two green loans recorded in Hong Kong's real estate sector in 2023.  This deal was earlier named one of China Business Law Journal's Deals of the Year in 2023.

Ogier partners Anthony Oakes and Yuki Yan acted as BVI counsel to a syndicate led by United Overseas Bank Limited, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited.
