Meet Ogier's German Desk

Ogier's commitment to its German-speaking client base has been underpinned by the recent expansion of its German Desk.

Ogier has been at the forefront of Luxembourg's evolving legal landscape since 2012 and the firm's growing German Desk recognises the needs of its clients amid increased demand from German-speaking markets.

Milan Hauber, who heads Ogier's German Desk, said: "Due to its geography, multi-lingual business culture, and excellent reputation as a financial centre, Luxembourg understandably has strong ties with the DACH region. Our dedicated German Desk ensures we respond to the needs of our clients across a wide range of disciplines. Senior associate Ajda Genchsoy and associate Maddalena Bonamini-Leitner are the latest additions to the German Desk, bringing invaluable expertise in fund and regulatory matters, including from previous in-house positions. With this development we echo the feedback and demands from our clients based in the DACH region in order to be able to better serve their needs."

The German Desk team represents all legal departments at Ogier Luxembourg, spanning from corporate to finance and investment fund matters. This offers clients comfort and flexibility when it comes to the drafting of legal documents and negotiation of complex transactions.

Who we are

Ogier's German Desk is headed by Milan Hauber who advises clients on Luxembourg on a wide variety of investment fund matters. Co-head Sarah Verlende advises private equity and real estate clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, including international M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Sarah and Milan both sit on Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. They excel in their respective fields and have built out a solid reputation evidenced by their recognition in relevant industry rankings such as The Legal 500.

The German Desk team is further composed of counsel Philippe Burgener, managing associate Olivia Collette, senior associate Ajda Genchsoy, associate Maddalena Bonamini Leitner, associate Manon Hillenbrand, and associate Jawad Bach.
