Ogier in BVI extends top tier rankings in Chambers Global 2023

Ogier in the BVI has once again achieved top tier rankings for Corporate and Finance including Investment Funds, and Dispute Resolution in the latest Chambers Global Guide 2023.

Described as "top drawer" and "consummate legal professionals with an in-depth knowledge," Ogier in the BVI also includes six ranked individuals across its teams.  

The guide, which is based on independent client feedback, praises Ogier's corporate, finance and funds teams for their "sophisticated" practice and ability to "find the right solutions to BVI legal issues."

Partner Ray Wearmouth "maintains an excellent standing", while head of the team Michael Killourhy is ranked highly in the guide, with clients noting Michael's "encyclopaedic knowledge of the BVI."

The Dispute Resolution team is described as market leading and "one of the deepest teams in the BVI." Four lawyers from the team are ranked, including partner Brian Lacy, who is described as "the gold standard when it comes to having the right person on the case."

Partner Nicholas Burkill is noted for his wealth of onshore and offshore experience and is described as "fantastic" by clients. Partner Grant Carroll is "a good advocate and has a good reputation," and partner Nicholas Brookes is described as "incredibly user-friendly" and a lawyer who "makes it his business to know the ins and outs of the case."
