Ogier partnership brings new literacy roadshow to schools across the British Virgin Islands

Through a new partnership with BVI Lit Fest, Ogier is supporting a five-day literacy initiative that will bring local authors, Ogier volunteer readers and donated books to primary schools across the British Virgin Islands during Reading Is Fun Week from 5 to 9 October 2026. Powered by Ogier, The Big Read Roadshow will serve as an expansion of BVI Lit Fest's popular Literary Wonderland Children's Programme with this pre-festival reading tour.

The Big Read Roadshow reflects a shared belief that every child deserves to discover and enjoy reading. Over five days, Ogier employees will volunteer alongside authors and educators in primary schools across the BVI, leading reading exercises and interactive discussions to spark curiosity, imagination and a lifelong love of storytelling amongst children.

Co-chair for the BVI Lit Fest and director for the Jennie N. Wheatley Institute for Virgin Islands Studies at HLSCC, Rochelle Smith, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Ogier for partnering with us to help place books into children's hands and bring these experiences directly into schools across the Territory during an important week in the Virgin Islands."
