Partner and intellectual property specialist Sophie Peat has been named a Global Leader for the third year running by the World Trademark Review, the international guide recognising top trade mark professionals.
The World Trademark Review 1000 (WTR 1000) is a resource for world-class legal trade mark expertise. Only those recognised by market sources for their skill sets and insights into trade mark matters feature in the guide.
Sophie achieved a Gold award in the 2026 ranking, recognised for her “exceptional standard of trade mark work”.
Based in Ogier’s Cayman Islands office, Sophie spearheads the firm's intellectual property (IP) practice. She has almost 20 years of international experience which encompasses the clearance, prosecution, exploitation and enforcement of the full suite of IP rights, including brands and trade marks, copyright, industrial designs and patents.
Sophie has been praised for her “meticulous attention to detail, responsiveness and empathy” and her ability to “bring a robust blend of expertise and experience to the field”.
Sophie said: “I’m delighted to have been named as a WTR Global Leader and as Gold standard in this year’s WTR 1000 guide. This recognition strengthens our commitment to delivering for our clients, and I look forward to working with them into the future.”
Jonathan Hughes, Global Head of Local Legal Services at Ogier, added: “We are proud to see Sophie once again listed as both a WTR Global Leader and in the WTR 1000 rankings.
“Sophie’s experience and expertise are driving forward Ogier’s IP practice, and this accolade reflects the dedication she has to our clients.”
