Alex Way

Alex is a partner in Ogier's Private Wealth team and is based in the London office. Alex advises trustees, settlors, beneficiaries and power holders on international private client structures, with particular expertise in the use of trusts, companies and foundations. His work includes the establishment of complex new structures, restructurings, the termination of existing structures, and the day-to-day administration and operation of private wealth structures.

Background and experience

Alex has almost 20 years' experience in the legal profession and more than a decade of offshore experience. Prior to joining Ogier, he worked at two leading offshore firms, establishing and developing the London-based private wealth offering of one of them.

Alex's expertise includes drafting wills and advising clients on succession planning; the establishment and day-to-day operation of complex offshore structures; the incorporation, ownership and operation of private trust companies; and advising global banks and professional trustees on their standard trust documentation.
